Lois Jean Butts, age 62, of Galesburg, Illinois died on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 4:15 A.M. at Marigold Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois.
She was born on December 10, 1947 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Shirley Wright Mudd. She married Harold Butts on June 16, 1967 in Galesburg, Illinois.
Surviving are three sons: James (Jane) Mudd of Galesburg, Illinois, Butts of Galesburg, Illinois and Tracy (Tracey) Butts of Knoxville, Illinois
Seven Grandchildren: Michael, Justin, Joey, Kara, Kyleigh, Jared, and Makenzie
Two sisters: Kathy and Renee
Three brothers: Danny, Donny, and Ricky
Her parents, one sister: Charlotte and one brother: Gary preceded her in death.
She was raised and educated in Galesburg, Illinois graduating from the Galesburg High School in Galesburg, Illinois. She attended Carl Sandburg College and received her associate degree in Auto Mechanics. She worked housekeeping for Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois and St. Mary’s Square in Galesburg, Illinois.
She enjoyed cooking, fishing and camping, and her grandkids.
Cremation Rites will be accorded. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
