|Phillip Charles Fellger, 85, of 275 E Carl Sandburg Dr, Galesburg, Ill. died at 5:00AM Saturday, May 14, 2011.
He was born on June 11, 1925 in Chicago, Ill. to Albert and Rose Fellger. He married Harriet J. Smykowski in Chicago on October 30, 1977. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2009.
He is survived by a son, Albert Fellger of Galva, Ill.; four daughters, Linda and son-in-law Mike Miller of Kewanee, Ill., Susan Fellger of Chicago, June Fontana of Addison, Ill. and Connie and son-in-law Allan Wolf of Baltimore, Md.; 21 grandchildren including his beloved granddaughter, Charlie and her husband Ken Brooks, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip "Butch" Fellger, a son-in-law, Jerry Fontana and a granddaughter, Rusty Marie Miller.
Phillip served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He was a truck driver. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Geneseo, Ill.
There will be no public services. Memorials may be made to Harbor Lights Hospice. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
