|The Oneida Centennial Queen of 1954 was welcomed into her Heavenly Kingdom at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Galesburg.
Fae R. Zefo, 88, of Bracken Acres, Galesburg, was born July 30, 1923 in Salem, Iowa the daughter of Lee and Mary (Glendenning) Albright Sr.
She married Dale Trout in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1965. She then married Jack E. Zefo on May 27, 1967 in Galesburg.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; two daughters, Mardena Scott of Alpha, Ill. and Marlene Zefo of Galesburg; two sons, Dan (and Evon) Zefo and Rich Zefo, both of Galesburg; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, three brothers, and a sister.
Fae attended Galesburg schools and Galesburg Beauty School. She operated Fae's Beauty Shop in Oneida and later out of her home for over 50 years.
Fae enjoyed roller skating, camping, fishing, bowling, golf, Bingo, and Bunco. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Fae adored her family and playing cards and dice on Sunday afternoons.
Funeral will be noon Thursday, May 10, 2012 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Don Reynolds will officiate. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the chapel.
