Betty J. Robertson, 80, of Galesburg, died at 2:05 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at home.
She was born April 9, 1932 in Logan, Ohio, the daughter of James and Nancy Woodard Davis. She married Dennis Legg and Robert Robertson. They both preceded her in death.
She is survived by children, Jack Legg of Abingdon, Ill., Robert Legg of Galesburg, Susette Berger of Galesburg, Linda Legg of Galesburg, Richard Legg of North Muskegon, Mich., Robert Robertson of Gowen, Mich., and Paul Robertson of Muskegon, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Fanny Gilly of Loveland, Colo. and Lois Meece of Jackson, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Betty had worked as an accountant at McCord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Wash. and also as a nursing aide. She enjoyed traveling in her younger years and also crocheting, knitting, sewing, and quilting. Betty especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2012 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Hinchliff-Pearson-West, Inc. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com. |
