|Cynthia "Cindy" Kay Spry, 62, of Galesburg, died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa.
She was born September 23, 1950 in Galesburg the daughter of Frank and Vera Stevens Dama. She married Edward "Ed" Spry on September 21, 1998 in Galesburg.
She is survived by her husband, Ed; two daughters, Nicole (and Sean) Kelley of Tremont, Ill. and Melissa (and William) Simmons of Galesburg; two step-daughters, Holly (and Kevin) Strange and Marla both of Monmouth, Ill.; three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; half-brother, Roger McGee of Bradford, Ohio; and a sister, Grace Irene of Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cindy worked at the Knox County Nursing Home as an activity aide for several years, retiring in 2012. She graduated from Galesburg High School. Cindy enjoyed cooking, sewing, fishing, camping, and taking care of her residents at the Knox County Nursing Home. She loved her dogs, Pepe and Lucy.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
