Hilda I. Whittom, age 88, of Galesburg, Illinois died on May 30, 2010 at 8:20 A.M. at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois.
She was born on August 27, 1921 in Queen City, Missouri, the daughter of John and Goldie Smith Wells.
She married Charles P. Whittom on June 25, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri.
He preceded her in death on May 14, 2007.
Surviving are:
One Son: C. L. Whittom of Lake of Ozark, Missouri
Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.
She was raised and educated in Granger, Missouri; she grew up in a farm family.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and traveling.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services at this time.
