|Mary T. Qualls, 86, of 216 McMurtry Dr. Henderson, Ill. died 7:45 PM Friday, June 4, 2010 at her home.
She was born April 15, 1924 in Medford, Mass. to Thomas and Frances Alosso Macri. She married LaVerne D. Qualls January 13, 1946 in Medford, Mass. He preceded her in death January 1, 2002.
Surviving are three sons Verne T. Qualls of Bettendorf, Iowa, James C. Qualls of Rio, Ill. and David R. Qualls of Galesburg, two daughters Regina M. (and Dwight) Baxter of Davenport, Iowa and Judy A. (and Richard) Hogan of Galesburg, three sisters Theresa Terramagra of Salem, N.H., Joan Salamone of Burlington, Mass. and Rose Arrington of Rodeville, S.C., 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Mary T. Jones, a brother and eight sisters.
Mary worked for the former Arlan department store for several years. She later worked for Protexall for 30 years and retired in 2004. She served as a W.A.C. during WWII. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Galesburg. She was a member of T.O.P.S Club.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. MSGR Ernest Pizzamiglio will officiate. Burial will be in Henderson Cemetery, Henderson, Ill. Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Prayers will be prayed at 7:00 PM.
