|Ida L. Milem, 91, of East Moline, IL, formerly of Alpha, IL died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Genesis, Illini Campus in Silvis, IL. Services are 1 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Peterson-Wallin-Knox in Alpha, IL. Burial is in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona, IL. She was born April 6, 1920 in Alton, IL to Hervey and Ida Clary Chase. She graduated from UTHS in East Moline and married James A. Milem. He died in 2003. She was a homemaker, a member of the Alpha Baptist Church and was an accomplished artist who loved painting.
Survivors include: two daughters: Joy Burlingame of Coal Valley, IL, Linda (Dennis) Qualls of East Moline, IL, three sons: Guy (Rhonda) Carnahan of Coal Valley, IL, James (Lisa) Milem of Alpha, IL and John (Mary Ellen) Milem of Peoria, IL, many grandchildren, including Jamie (Tammy) Milem of Geneseo, whom she raised, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, one daughter, Carolyn Cooney, two great grandsons and a sister preceded her in death.
