Byers, Charles W., II
Charles W. Byers II, 68 of Roseville, IL passed away on Thursday June 23, 2011, 10:35 pm at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL.

He was born September 4, 1942 in Macomb, IL the son of Charles W. and Miriam McMurry Byers. He married Elaine Clover on August 22, 1964 in Terre Haute, IL.

He is survived by his wife of Roseville, IL; one son Christopher S. (Cheri) Byers of Bloomington, IL; one daughter Meghan C. (Justin) Wright of Monmouth, IL; grandchildren Lindsay, Beau, and Reid Byers, and Elsie, George, and Timothy Wright; one sister Janice Carolyn (Robert) Campbell of Troy, MO, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1960; he graduated from Truman North East State University in MO in 1966. He taught at Union, Warsaw, Northwestern and Roseville High Schools. He enjoyed coaching football and he teaching Drivers Ed and Industrial Arts. He worked many years at Warren Achievement Industries in Monmouth, IL. He was a member of of the Roseville United Methodist Church and the LaHarpe Masonic Lodge AMFM. He was an avid outdoorsman especially turkey hunting and spending time with his family.

Funeral will be Sunday June 26, 2011, 1:00 pm at the Roseville United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends on Saturday June 25, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Corman Memorial Home Roseville, IL with Masonic service being at 4:30 pm. Burial will be in the Terre Haute Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Roseville United Methodist Church and or the Roseville Community Center. Please sign the guest book at www.cormanmh.com.
