|Anna Ruth Riley, 87 of Cuba, Illinois formerly of Knoxville, Illinois passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 5:57 A.M. at the Clayberg Nursing Center in Cuba.
Anna Ruth was born March 1, 1925 in Fulton County, Illinois the daughter of Vern and Ina Mae (Day) Senders. She attended the Bald Bluff Schools. She first married Charles Jones, and then married Robert M. Riley on March 6, 1971 at the London Mills United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1998.
Surviving are her four sons; Fred (Cindy) Jones of St. David, Illinois, Art (Marcia) Jones of Lewistown, Illinois, Russell (Diane) Jones of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Louis (Shelly) Jones of Abingdon, Illinois, 2 daughters, Sherlyn (Ira) Bowersox of Bloomfield, Iowa and Bonnie (Gary) Jaeckel of Diagonal, Iowa. She is also survived by her sister Eva Hughes of Mankato, Minnesota, 25 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Anna Ruth often bragged about her grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, pottery and ceramics, watching the hummingbirds and playing the organ.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in London Mills, Illinois. Rev. Paul Newhall will be officiating. Burial will be at Haynes Cemetery in rural Delong, Illinois. Visitation will be on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 5:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois.
