Wayne L. Jurgensen, age 82, of Comanche, Iowa died on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 4:43 AM at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.
He was born on September 9, 1929 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Hans and Silvia Schroder Jurgensen.
Surviving are two sons: Brian (Toni) Jurgensen of Maquon, Illinois and Kenny Jurgensen of Rock Island, Illinois. One daughter: Tami O’Dell of Surprise, Arizona. Three Grandchildren. One brother: Carroll Jurgensen of Des Moines, Iowa. He was preceded in death by a half-son: Russell, two brothers, and one sister.
He worked for Dupont in Clinton, Iowa.
He enjoyed fishing and baseball, an avid Red Sox fan.
He served in the United States Armed Forces.
