|Mrs. N. Kathleen Trulson Dunlap, 89, of Galesburg died at 2:10 pm Friday, June 7, 2013 in Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.
She was born October 2, 1923 near northeast Abingdon, Ill. Cedar Twp. the daughter of Frank S. and Maude Swigart Anderson. She married R. Gene Trulson on July 26, 1941 in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1997. She later married Lyle W. Dunlap on August 27, 2000. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Frank Trulson of Galesburg and Carroll Trulson of Monmouth, Ill.; four grandchildren, Michele Kaywood, Mark (Julie) Trulson, Tina (Ross) Johnson, Russell (Amy) Trulson, nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene, three brothers and two sisters.
She worked for the Blue Bell Factory and Admiral/Maytag Corporation. She retired January 23, 1981. She also farmed with her husband, Gene. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1941. She was a member of the IAM & AW Lodge #2063 and past board member and chairman of the Midwest Employees Credit Union. Kathleen was baptized at the Abingdon Christian Church and was a former member of the New Community Church in Galesburg. She enjoyed cross stitching, outdoor work and spending time with her grandchildren and families. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1pm Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. Visitation will be from Noon-1 pm at the chapel.
