Oberhoffer, Diane D.
D. Diane Oberhoffer, 75, of Galesburg, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

She was born February 11, 1938 in Bluffton, Ohio the daughter of C. Dale and Lena P. (Weaver) Davidson. She married Nathan Davies on September 3, 1956. She later married John Oberhoffer on April 3, 1971 in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2000.

She is survived by a daughter, Doni (and Jim) Arkeilpane of Galesburg; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren on the way; and two sisters, Darlena Dolly Riddle of Hudson Oaks, Texas and Dorothy Hurson of Livermore, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Dale Oberhoffer on October 13, 2011; and a brother, David Dale Davidson in February 1942.

Diane was a registered nurse, nursing instructor, and nursing supervisor at Pike County, Ark. for 17 years. She retired in 1987. She graduated from Central High School in Minneapolis, Minn. in 1956 and the University of Dubuque on June 6, 1972.

Diane enjoyed sewing, crocheting, genealogy, history, literature, and puzzling. Her grandchildren were a very important part of Dianes life.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with funeral service following at noon. Rev. Rick Warren will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
