|Lois A. Pearcy, 93, of 97 Hawkinson Ave., formerly of The Kensington, died at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at home.
Lois was born on March 1, 1917 in Brockett, Ark., the daughter of Robert and Anna (Mack) Fowler. She married Arnold Pearcy on November 21, 1936 in Maynard, Ark.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (and Don) Browne of Galesburg and Christy (and Mike) Keimig of Galesburg; one sister, Mary Foster of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Mark (and Dana) Mendez, Scott (and Terry) Mendez, Steve (and Chris) Ryan, Brett Ryan, Rachel (and Ryan) Potts; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers, including her twin brother.
She had lived in Galesburg since 1993 and prior to that had lived in Abingdon for several years. She worked at the Alton Box Factory in Galesburg as a folder feeder for 25 years, retiring in 1979.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg. Rev. Mark Graham will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.
