|Kenneth R. Pahel, 75, Galesburg, died 5:09 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.
He was born October 12, 1934 in Youngstown, Pa. to Kenneth and Betty Bisping Pahel. He married Virginia Craddock April of 1964 in Dallas, Texas. She preceded him in death in 1994. He later married Geraldine Harlan on September of 1995 in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving is a son, Timothy A. Pahel (and partner Herid Cherios) of Galesburg, a daughter, Melissa (husband Frank) Jacks of Austin, Texas, two grandchildren, Nicki Jacks and Tyler Jacks and a step grandson, Harlan Walcott.
Kenneth was a professor of philosophy at Knox College, Galesburg for over 30 years and retired in 1993. He received his bachelor's degree from Rollins College and his masters and PhD from the University of Illinois.
Cremation will be accorded. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Ferris Lounge at Knox College. A reception will follow in the Lincoln Room at the college.
