Doris M. Yeoman, 94 of Avon, IL passed away on Tuesday July 26, 2011, 4:22 am at OSF St. Francis Medical Center Peoria, IL.
She was born June 9, 1917 in New Philadelphia, IL the daughter of Lawson and Della Hoyle Morey. She married Delford R. Yeoman on June 26, 1937 in Abingdon, IL he preceded her on May 21, 1997.
She is survived by two sons Larry (Gloria) Yeoman of Wisconsin, WI, and Daniel Yeoman of Avon, IL; one daughter Karen (Larry) Heaton of Moline, IL; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; one brother Ivan Morey of Macomb, IL. He was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
She was raised around the London Mills, Berwick and Abingdon areas. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1935. After marriage she and her husband owned and operated farms in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. She was a member of D.A.R. She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, reading, cooking and especially enjoyed friends and family. She really enjoyed her grandchildren great and great-great grandchildren.
