Gray, Rose A.
Rose A. Gray, 77, of Galesburg, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2012 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

She was born November 6, 1934 in Kenosha, Wis. the daughter of Nazzareno and Rosalie Marinelli Sirocchi. She married William A. "Bill" Gray on May 29, 1954 in Kenosha. He preceded her in death September 11, 2006.

She is survived by her children, Mark D. (and Kathy) Gray of Princeton, Ill., Cindy T. Gray of Houston, Texas, and Steven A. (and Chris) Gray of Galesburg; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Vince (and Joann) Sirocchi of Kenosha; two sisters, Lucy (and Ed) Solovey of Kenosha and Mary (and Bill) Rognsvoog of Mobile, Ala.; and eight granddogs. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debra A. Anderson in 1984; and a sister, Teresa Jessup.

Rose was raised and educated in Kenosha. She graduated from high school and beauty school. After her marriage, the family had lived in Peoria, Ill., Pontiac, Ill., Morris, Ill., Waterford, Wis., and finally settled in Galesburg. Rose had worked at K Mart and most recently worked for School District 205 on the lunch line at Lombard Middle School for several years until retiring in December 2011. Rose and her group of friends enjoyed spending time putting together jigsaw puzzles and drinking margaritas.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel with Pastor Jim Reynolds officiating. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral with private family burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to establish a memorial fund.
