|Larry K. Swanson, 73, of Glendale, Ariz. died Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Glendale.
He was born April 3, 1939 in Galesburg, Ill. the son of Raymond and Janice Young Swanson.
He married Darlene Luchi and later married Nancy Bartels on July 21, 1962 in Harvard, Ill.
He is survived by four children, Seith Swanson, Scott Swanson, Toni Taylor, and May McGovern; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Jim Swanson; and a sister, Judi Kiefer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry was a computer programmer for Bordon Foods for almost 20 years and also worked for Milk Specialties. He retired in 2003. He was a 1957 graduate of Galesburg High School. He had lived in Galesburg, Streamwood, Ill., Melrose Park, Ill. and Glendale. Larry was a Moose Lodge member, was Illinois State Champion in pool, and enjoyed golfing.
After high school, he served in the United States Air Force for four years.
Cremation was accorded. Memorial graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg. There will be no visitation.
