Glenn Richard "Dick" Frymire of Knoxville completed his journey here on earth on July 20, 2012. He passed with his family by his side.
He was born on June 2, 1937. Glenn had battled cancer for 14 months. He was loved dearly by his 4 daughter: Robin (Craig) Hatch, Connie (John) Main, Glenda Frymire, and Dianna (Brent) Sims and his step-son Dennis Little. Glenn was married to Marion Frymire for 30 years and was later married to Georgette Frymire for 20 years. He had 7 grandkids: Brandi Vlach, Kyle Pacey, Tami Kenney, Shelby Moenck, Jamie Frymire, Katie Chewning and Brooke Hatch. He had 4 great grandkids: Hunter Vlach, Owen Vlach, Ryder Vlach and Carter Hatch.
Glenn enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR races, his family and animals. He was known for being able to fix or repair just about anything. He has one sister still living, Edith "Sis" Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Glenn Elsworth Frymire and his mom, Bertha Alta Taylor. Also by 5 siblings: Alice "Irish" Gerlach, Doris "Dote" Kuhl, James E. "Charlie" Frymire, Johnnie L. "Squirt" Frymire, and June "Tyke" Scott.
Glenn was a Teamster's Union member and worked in construction, he also worked as a mechanic. He will be missed terribly by his family. Glenn was also known for helping out just about anyone who needed help. His pain and suffering is over and now he can rest in peace in Heaven.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral home in Knoxville. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
