Killey, (Mary) Adeline Stevenson
(Mary) Adeline Stevenson Killey, 102 of Roseville, IL passed away Saturday June 29, 2013 at the Roseville Rehab and Health Care Center. She was born September 18, 1910 in Biggsville, IL the daughter of James and Grace Bainter Stevenson. She married Bruce Winebright Killey on January 27, 1940 in Biggsville, IL; he preceded her on May 17, 1997.

She is survived by two sons Richard (Mary) Killey of Roseville, IL and James (Janet) Killey of Roseville, IL; one daughter in law Janet Stevenson of Roseville, IL; 8 grandchildren Karen (Mike) Mickle, Kevin (DeNeene) Killey, Elizabeth (Stephen) Pichaske, Stephen (Sherry) Killey, Sara (Kevin) Cundiff, Shannon (Jeff) Hogg, Benjamin Killey, and Seth(Kassy) Killey; 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son (David Killey).

She graduated from Biggsville High School and Illinois State Normal. She taught business education in Mahomet High School and Monmouth High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monmouth, and a member and teacher of the Marco Sunday School Class and Deborah Circle. Adeline was a sixty year member of Chapter N, P.E.O., and sixty year member of O.E.S. She also belonged to Science and Art Club, and Roseville Womans Club. She belonged to the Warren County Homemakers for seventy years.

"Grandma Adeline" as she was known, was the center of her large, close family. She was an enthusiastic follower of all of her family's myriad activities. Family dinners and gatherings around a large table in the basement were highlights in her life. Adeline loved to entertain friends and host club meetings in her home. She was famous for her "Captain Crunch" cookies, and always had a supply of Kit Kat candy bars "hidden" in an oft opened kitchen drawer. She was a lovely, gracious, and dignified lady whom her family and friends will always remember and greatly miss.

Funeral service will be Wednesday July 3, 2013, 10:00 am at the First Methodist Church in Monmouth, IL. Family will receive friends on Tuesday eve, July 2, 2013, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Corman Memorial Home Roseville, IL. Burial will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery.
