Goding, Patricia M.
Patricia M. Gooding, age 83, born in Dunfermline, Illinois January 26, 1930, to Violet G. Stevenor, went to the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Barclay, her step-father, Don Barclay and her brother, Sam Marinich, Jr.

She was married to Vernon D. Landis from 1947 - 1965. They have three children who survive: Cynthia K. (Jim) Olson, Tyrone, Georgia; Elizabeth J. (Charles) Tucker, Fulton, Illinois and Ronald D. (Laurie) Landis, Maquon, Illinois

Also surviving are her five grandchildren, who love her and will miss her very much: Jeff Yocum, Tyrone, Georgia; Jodi Yocum, Australia; Alison Graham, Albany, Illinois; Savannah Landis, Maquon, Illinois and T. J. Olson, Tyrone, Georgia. She has four great grandchildren: Rory, Maddie, Harrison and Anna.

She was married to Charles F. Gooding from 1975 until he passed away in 1993.

She went to school at Dunfermline grade school, Canton High School and Carl Sandburg College. She belonged to Fulton County Home Extension, Knox County Democratic Womens Club, was president of the Dunfermline PTA, was treasurer of the Maquon Methodist Church and was a den mother when her son was a Cub Scout.

She worked for six years as an EMT-A for RMG Ambulance Services; she also worked at Canton State Bank. She owned and operated: Gooding's Gift Cellar, Maquon; Gooding's Gifts in Knoxville, Madeleine's Gift House, Maquon and Village Florist and Gift Shoppe, Maquon.

She enjoyed many things in her life: the St. Louis Cardinals, fishing, flowers, painting, gardening, music, cooking and her cat, Scruffy, who will miss her. She loved NASCAR and was a Rusty Wallace fan. She did not like Tony Stewart! She loved having coffee with Emma every evening. Most of all she loved her family. And will be missed by all.

Cremation rites are accorded. Visitation at 10:00 AM with a memorial service following at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Maquon Methodist Church. Rev. Susan Bryce will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Maquon Methodist Womens Club. The family requests no flowers.
