Treash, Sandra J.
Sandra J. Leonard Craig Treash, 69, of Galesburg, died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at home after a short battle with lung cancer.

She was born April 12, 1944 in Geneseo, Ill. the daughter of Lawrence and Kathryn A. Parker Leonard. She married Thomas Craig and later James Treash.

She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Leonard of Galesburg; two daughters, Jill (Craig) Randall and Carin (Craig) Patch, both of Galesburg; four grandchildren, Ashley (and Aaron) Lamb, Tyler Randall, Daniel Patch, and Jessica Patch; a great grandson, Braxton Randall; brother-in-law, Joseph (and Kathy) Craig of Galva; and special friend of 21 years, Ed Peterson of Macomb. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence; two sisters, Nancy Ouart and Linda Craig; and a nephew, Chad Craig.

Sandy graduated from Wethersfield High School in Kewanee in 1962 and from Carl Sandburg College in 1980.

She was a commercial loan officer and assistant vice president at First National Bank in Galesburg for 19 years. She then worked as reception supervisor at the Galesburg Clinic for 19 years, retiring in 2012. Sandy also decorated cakes for 40 years.

Sandy was a member of the Robert Morris Association and Kiwanis Club, where she was the first elected female president of the Galesburg chapter.

Sandy loved spending time with family, especially her grandkids and great grandson. She enjoyed gardening, home improvements, all crafts, and wind chimes.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Annawan Fairview United Methodist Church. Rev. Dan Wright will officiate. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Burial will follow the funeral in the Fairview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
