|Frank E. Crocker, 80, of Galesburg, Ill. died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Rosewood Care Center.
He was born May 6, 1932 in Sesser, Ill. the son of Claude L. and Martha McBride Crocker.
He married Esther Beckner. Later he married Doris Shepard.
He is survived by his son, Eugene Crocker of Michigan; his daughter, Pamela (Kevin) Webber of Galesburg and five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and seven sisters.
Frank graduated from Monmouth High School in 1950. He served in the National Guard, later enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at Admiral/Maytag Corporation for 42 years, retiring in 1993. He was a union steward while working at Admiral/Maytag. He was a member of Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bowling and fishing. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals. He took great pride in helping others.
Cremation was accorded. Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at the chapel. Private graveside service will be at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.
