Reem, Glennis A.
Glennis A. Reem, 93, of 1381 Willard St., Galesburg, Ill. died 3:18 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.

She was born August 2, 1919 in North Henderson, Ill. to Herman Patrick and Martha Estelle Munson Devlin. She married Alfred Dale Reem February 4, 1939 in The Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death June 26, 2004.

Surviving is a son Larry Dale (and Miava) Reem of Galesburg, a daughter Diane (and Bill) Bonner of Galesburg, two brothers, Darrel Devlin of Galesburg and Cletus Devlin of New Windsor, Ill., four sisters, Ila Berry of Clearwater, Fla., Dorothy Holt of Galesburg, Anarose Rednour of Rio, Ill. and Della Jeanne Foster of Oneida, Ill., three grandchildren, Sean and Thadd Bonner and Devlin Kane Reem and six Great Grandchildren, Austin, Trevor, Sierra, Matthew, Tommas and Samatha Bonner. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.

Glennis was a homemaker. She graduated from Rio high school in 1937. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Galesburg. She was a member and treasurer of First United Methodist Churchs Faith Circle. She taught Sunday School at the North Henderson Methodist Church. She was a Girl Scout Leader at North Henderson and also belonged to Home Extension for many years.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Mary Runge will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, North Henderson United Methodist Church or La Grace Hall of Hope. Online condolences may be made to www.h-p-w.com.
