T. Marie Johnson, age 74, of Woodhull, IL, died Monda,y September 14, 2009,
at her residence. Services are 10:30 am Thursday at the Alpha United Methodist Church in Alpha, IL. Burial is in the Alpha cemetery. Visitation is from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha where memorials may be left to the United Methodist Church or Tri-County Ambulance. She was born June 12, 1935 in Alpha, IL, a daughter of Harold and Bessie Chesley Willett. She graduated from Alpha High School and married Charles Edward Johnson August 29, 1954 in Alpha. He died September 2, 2004.
Marie was a homemaker, a member of the Alpha United Methodist Church and she enjoyed babysitting, crocheting and plastic canvas.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Deborah (Melvin) Briggs of Alpha; Sue Johnson of Woodhull; 2 sons, David (Cherie) Johnson of Alpha; Mike Johnson of Tonawanda, NY; 8 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Margaret Maritz of Monmouth, IL; Helen (Roy) Schwartzkopf of Woodhull; Lorraine Carlson of Moline;3 brothers Richard (Verna) Willett of Bettendorf; LeRoy(Donna) Willett of Woodhull; Dale (Joyce) Willett of Phoenix, AZ and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband and one son Terry preceded her in death. |
