|Robert James Mitchell, 40, of Galesburg died at 7:45 A.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2009 in Monmouth.
He was born April 16, 1969 in Santa Monica, California, the son of Richard and Anne (Thomas) Rosenthal. He was raised and educated in Ventura and Camarco, California.
Robert served with the United States Army for 4 years as a Medic.
Robert married Tia Bremer and later Monica Hackney on June 28, 1996 in Pekin, IL and she survives.
He worked as a Physician Assistant since 1995, first working at Pekin Hospital then the Illinois Gastroenterology Institute. Robert and Monica owned and operated the Las Vegas House Call, an internal medicine house call business in Las Vegas and currently was a Physician Assistant working in the Emergency Room at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth.
His family includes his wife, Monica of Galesburg, three children, Rachel Renee' Mitchell of Monnett, MO., Stephanie Nicole Mitchell and Grant David Mitchell both of Galesburg; parents, Anne Mitchell of Neenah, WI. and Richard (Grechen) Rosenthal of Redding, CA.; one sister, Carol (Dan) DeZee of Neenah, WI., grandmother, Virginia Thomas of Neenah, WI. in laws, Dan & Beverly Haggerty of Cuba, IL along with nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Monmouth. Cremation has been accorded. A memorial fund has been established to be designated later.
