|Judith Kay "Judy" Frye, 68, of 1838 Robertson Ave., Galesburg, IL, died at 6:35 PM Thursday, September 24, 2009 at her home.
She was born on August 10, 1941 in Peoria, IL to Lee and Ellen Morrison Stephens. She married Daniel D. Frye on August 15, 1959 in Alexis, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David (and Lyn) Frye of Brunswick, ME and Darrin (Tamra) Frye of Normal, IL; two daughters, Diana (and Robert) Kinkade of Oneida, IL and Debra (and Wayne) Duncan of Monmouth, IL; two brothers, Jim (and Arlene) Stephens of Wautoma, WI and Jerry (and Mary) Stephens of Hiram, GA; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She worked as a fabricator at Mach I Boats in Monmouth for 18 years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of the First Church of God in Galesburg where she served on its Scholarship Committee and a Board Member. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Monmouth and the Mothers of World War II of Alexis.
Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Paul Bickel officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Chapel. Private family graveside services will be at the Alexis Cemetery.
