|Loren A. Hollenberg 91 of Roseville, IL Died on Tuesday September 29, 2009, 7:10 pm at the Roseville Country Manor Roseville, IL.
He was born July 21, 1918 at the family home in rural Roseville, the son of Alvin Clive and Vesta Holeman Hollenberg. He married Wanda White on June 7, 1940 in Burlington, IA.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, of Roseville, IL; one daughter Diane (Marvin) Hawk of Roseville, IL; one son Dave (Sue) Hollenberg of Roseville, IL; grandchildren Sara Simonson of Macomb, IL, Mark (Shelly) Hawk of Seaton, IL, Wendy (Frank) Huston of Roseville, IL, Brenda (Branson) Parks of Vermont, IL; great grandchildren Rachel and Nick Hawk of Seaton, IL, Alex Huston of Roseville, IL, Justin Parks of Vermont, IL; one brother Cecil (Naomi) Hollenberg of Monmouth, IL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 1 nephew.
Loren farmed East of Roseville on the family farm. He served as a Roseville Boy Scout Leader and coached Little League for many years. He was a member of the Roseville Christian Church where he served as an Elder, Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. In 1965 they moved to Prophetstown, IL where he was a Tox-O-Wik distributor until 1983 when they retired and moved back to Roseville. He was a member of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce and the Roseville Lions Club. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Graveside service will be Saturday October 3, 2009, 11:00 am at the Roseville Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday October 2, 2009 from 6:30-7:30 pm at Corman Memorial Home Roseville, IL.
