Nedra Kay Kessler, 70, of Avon, IL, passed away with her family by her side on Monday September 6, 2010, 8:00 pm, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
he was born on September 28, 1939 in Avon, IL the daughter of Norval and Grace Curtis Daley. She married Elwin Kessler on August 10 1974.
She is survived by her husband of Avon, IL; one daughter Janis McCleary of Bushnell, IL; one son Dave Fitch of Bushnell, IL; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; two step children Ken Kessler of Michigan and Laura Sanchez of Tampa, FL; 5 step grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild; one sister Nancy Myatt of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 step grandson.
Nedra was born in Avon and lived a portion of her life in Rapatee. She graduated from Avon High School. She worked at Tompkins State Bank in Avon, Farmers and Merchants Bank in Bushnell, IL and Vaughn's in Bushnell, IL. She loved to watch her grandchildren’s sporting events and enjoyed camping.
Funeral service will be Friday September 10, 2010, 10:00 am at the Corman Memorial Home Avon, IL. Burial will be in the Avon Cemetery, Avon, IL.
