LORENE L. WELLS, age 87, of Douglas, Illinois died on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 2:30 A.M. at her residence in Douglas, Illinois.
She was born on June 21, 1923 in Yates City, Illinois, the daughter of Peter Upton and Myrtle Florence Callihan Derry. She married James Lewis Wells on December 20, 1944 in Galesburg, Illinois. He Preceded Her In Death On April 5, 1973.

She was raised and educated in Douglas, Illinois attending the Douglas Grade School.
She was a homemaker and worked at the former American Beauty Restaurant in Galesburg, Illinois.
She was a member of the Douglas United Methodist Church where she formerly taught Sunday School.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Dan Doty officiating.
Visitation will be held on Thursday. September 16, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois.
Burial in the Douglas Cemetery in Douglas, Illinois. Memorials may be made to The Family.
