|M. Louise Schippert, age 89, of Knoxville, Illinois, died on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 6:08 P.M. at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born on November 15, 1920 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel R. and Dorothy Olson Hiler. She married Carl D. Schippert on August 8, 1945 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1974.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers: Kermit and Stanley.
She was reared and educated in Knoxville, Illinois attendinf the Newman School and graduating from the Knoxville High School. She live in Knoxville all her life. She worked for Kresges in Galesburg, Illinois and then mowed yards for 20 years. She and her husband owned and operated a family bakery in Knoxville, Illinois during the 1960's. She was an active member of the Knoxville United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Illinois and United Methodist Women and their circles. She was a member of the former Knoxville Kiwanis Club. She donated over 29 gallons of blood during her lifetime.
Cremation Rites will be accorded.
Private Graveside Memorial Services will be held at the Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at the Knoxville United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Peter Wehrly officiating. Memorials may be made to the Knoxville United Methodist Church. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois in charge of arrangements.
