|Raymond P. Duvall, 88, of Galesburg, died at 10:47 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 in Seminary Manor.
He was born April 15, 1922 in Knoxville, Ill., the son of Percy C. and Elma G. Rickords Duvall. He married Martha Johnson on June 16, 1946 in Galesburg. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2003.
He is survived by a sister, Shirley Motz of Galesburg, 12 nieces, and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers and a sister.
Raymond was a manufacturing representative for Westinghouse, Goodyear, and others for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He attended Galesburg High School and was a member of East Main Congregational United Church of Christ. Raymond was an avid golfer and generous in teaching the game of golf.
He served in the United States Air Force for three years during World War II.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Phyllis Sterr will officiate. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel.
