Eileen F. Davis, age 88, of Morton, Illinois formerly of Knoxville, Illinois died on 9:45 P.M. on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
She was born on March 19, 1923 in Ellisville, Illinois the daughter of Earl and Louisette Dancy. She was reared and educated in Knoxville, Illinois graduating from Knoxville High School, the class of 1940. She married Gerald D. Davis on March 10, 1941 in Kahokia, Missouri. He survives in Morton, Illinois.
Also Surviving are two sons: Robert (Carol) Davis of Haynes City, Florida and Forry (Noreen) Davis of Morton, Illinois. Three Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
She loved to write poetry and enjoyed being with her family.
Graveside Memorials Services will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. There will be no Visitation. Inurnment will be in the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
