|Robert G. Litton, 69, of Woodhull, IL passed away at 4:40PM Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, IL.
Services are 11:00 AM Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull. Interment is in the Woodhull cemetery. He was born September 6, 1942 in Galesburg, Illinois, a son of Kenneth and Aileen (Samuelson) Litton. He graduated from Alwood High School in 1960 and married Carol Seaton September 20, 1993 in Cambridge, IL.
Robert was employed as a mechanic in the experimental department of John Deere in Silvis for over 30 years. He enjoyed farming, restoring/refurnishing John Deere tractors, fishing, and reading about family genealogy.
Survivors include: his wife, 1 daughter: Jean (Kent) Achterhof of Redmond, OR; 2 sons: Rodney (Carolee) Litton, Astoria, OR and Scott Litton of Los Angeles, CA; 3 step children: Sherri (Bill) Joshick of Lewistown, IL; Terri (Terry) Buckellow of Davenport, IA; and Michelle (Nathan) Roach of Galesburg, IL, 2 sisters: Carolyn (Ed) Kersknik of Rochelle, IL and Katherine (Wayne) Martin of Moline, IL; 15 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
