Betty J. Johnson, 88, of Monmouth, Ill. died at 10:18 p.m. September 18, 2011 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
She was born July 12, 1923 in Galesburg the daughter of John C. and Hazel Johns Morrison. She married Martin H. Johnson on September 29, 1945 in Galesburg. He survives.
Also surviving is a son, Gary D. Johnson of Monmouth; a daughter, Sherryle (Fred) Doyle of Albert Lea, Minn.; two grandsons, Troy (Stephanie) Doyle and Brett (Beth) Doyle and four great grandchildren.
She was a homemaker. Betty graduated from Galesburg High School and was a member of the Moose Lodge of Galesburg and Peoria.
Cremation will be accorded. No services are planned. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com. |
