Olin, Ada F.
Ada F. Olin, age 74, of Knoxville, Illinois died on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

She was born on April 12, 1937 in Truro Township, Knox County, Illinois, the daughter of Everett B. and Vida I. Munts Yelm. She was raised and educated in Dahinda, Illinois. She married William L. "Bill" Olin on April 10, 1954 in Knoxville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2005.

Surviving are two sons: David L. (Dori) Olin of Galesburg, Illinois and Darrin R. (Michelle) Olin of LaHarpe, Illinois. One daughter: Carole M. Mullins of Knoxville. Seven grandchildren: Richard (Judith Padagas) Mullins; Lacey Olin; Bradly Olin; Ashley Olin; Page Olin; Erica Stodgel; and Shane Callihan. Six great-grandchildren: Melissa Mullins; DJ Dredge; Ianne and Justin Padagas; Mylee Nache; and Caleb Spencer. One sister: Mamie West of Galesburg, Illinois. Three brothers: Dick (Marlis) Yelm of Gilson, Illinois; Dean Yelm of Princeton, Illinois; and Gene (Lorna) Yelm of Williamsfield, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, One brother: Merlin and one sister: Betty Gibbs.

She was a homemaker all of her life and working first as a nurse aid at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois for 10 years, then later in her life at the formerly P.E.O. Home in Knoxville for 10 years, before she retired.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and their families.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Burial will be in the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. Memorial may be made to the Knoxville Christian Church in Knoxville, Illinois.
