|Wilma Strickland, age 90, of Troy, Missouri, formerly of Knoxville, Illinois died on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Troy Manor, Troy, Illinois.
She was born on December 21, 1920 in Middlebrook, Arkansas the daughter of John Rex and Rosie Belle Cates Roberts. She was raised and educated in Arkansas. She married Everett C. "Junior" Strickland on January 2, 1945 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1997.
Surviving is a son: Larry Jones of Hawk Point, Missouri and one daughter: Donna Fishbein of Boise, Idaho. Nine Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren and Seven Great Great-Grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and assisted her husband with the Sinclair Service Station in Knoxville, Illinois, which they owned and operated.
Funeral Services are will be held at 11:00 A.M. on September 6, 2011 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 5, 2011 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donors Choice
