|Alan N. Lannholm, 72, of Knoxville, Ill., died at 3:30 pm Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Marigold Health Care Center.
He was born October 24, 1939 in Galesburg, Ill. the son of Ivan Earl and Vesta Lillian Adcock Lannholm. He married Helen Joanne Newton on October 31, 1959 in Albion, Mich. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Mark Alan (Megan) Lannholm of Strafford, Mo., Michael Andrew (Charlene) Lannholm of Galesburg, and Robert "Bob" Dean (Dee) Lannholm of Springdale, Ark., one daughter, Cathy Ann Lannholm of Galesburg; three brothers, Marvin B. (Darlene) Lannholm, Terry L. (Debbie) Lannholm and Gregg M. (Robin) Lannholm all of Galesburg and five grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, Kelsi, Blake and Colton Lannholm. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joyce.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Alan worked as an assistant manager for Osco Drug for 14 years. He also was an agent for Allstate Insurance for 26 years. He retired November 1996. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1957. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Cub and Bears fan. Alan was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 am Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Monday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
