|Robin L. Ringberg, 56, of Bettendorf, IA, formerly of Galva, died at 6:25 AM, Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus in Silvis.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 2 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Rev. Martin Gutzmer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM, Monday, October 1 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Galva.
She was born March 27, 1956 in Kewanee, the daughter of Marvin and Bonnie (Fredeen) Warner. She is survived by her husband, Mike Long of Bettendorf, her mother, Bonnie Warner (and her partner, Carl Matson) of Galva, two sisters, Tracy Warner of Galva and Sandra (Mark) Doumas of Tucson, AZ, a brother, Matt (Laura) Warner of Sherrard, IL, six nephews, Jared (Stephanie), Ian and Kyle Wexell, Alex Doumas and Abram and Marshall Warner, a niece, Linnea Doumas, a great nephew, Jayden Wexell, a great niece, Peyton Wexell, her mother-in-law, Ernestine Long of Moline, a step-son, Joseph (Chanda) Long of Flora, IN, three step-grandchildren, three sister-in-laws, Rebecca (Gary) Buckdrop of Rock Island, Denice (Steven) Lane of East Moline and Mary (Lupe) Prieto of Rock Island and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Warner and a son, Shawn Wayne Ringberg.
Robin graduated from Galva High School in 1974 as Valedictorian. She attended Scott Community College graduating in 1978 with an Associates degree in accounting. In 2005, she received her BA degree from Western Illinois University. She had worked for Fidler Technologies in Rock Island for many years. She had also worked for Tracy Lynn Warner, C.P.A. in Galva and Kewanee. In 2004, she became an enrolled agent for the IRS. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Galva. She was an avid pool player and enjoyed watching TV and old movies, hand-held games, flower gardening, cats and taking drives throughout the countryside.
