|Harlan Robert England, 91, of Maquon, Illinois died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 4:10 A.M. at the Galesburg Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois.
Harlan was born March 9, 1922, in rural Appleton, Illinois the son of Alva and Imo Saline England. He married Jean Seiver on December 26, 1954 in Cameron, Illinois. She survives him in Maquon, Illinois.
Harlan is survived by his four children: Nancy Elizabeth England of Maquon, Illinois; Patricia Denise (Michael McGraw) England of Washington, Illinois; Daniel Steven England of Maquon, Illinois and Linda (Jerry Crowder) England of Chatham, Illinois. He is also survived by one sister: Marie Hannam of Galesburg, Illinois and three grandchildren: Andrew England McGraw, Jennifer Elaine Deheve and Matthew England McGraw; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Army. He farmed in rural Maquon until he retired.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois, with a fellowship following the graveside services at the Hurd-Hendricks Fellowship Center, Knoxville, Illinois. There will be no visitation. Rev. Dan Lybarger will be officiating. Interment will take place in the Knoxville Cemetery, in Knoxville, Illinois.
