Morrison, Bruce E.
Bruce E. Morrison, age 57, of Knoxville, Illinois died at 4:52 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

He was born on May 28, 1956 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of J. Edward and Dona Spurgeon Morrison. He attended and graduated from Abingdon High School the class of 1974. He married Tammy L. Smith on December 31, 1977 in Galesburg, Illinois. She survives of Knoxville, Illinois.

Surviving are his children: Jayson T. Morrison of Marion, Illinois; Damon B. Morrison of Knoxville, Illinois and Ginny (Jamie) M. Shepherd of Knoxville, Illinois. Three grandchildren: Paige Shepherd, Evan Shepherd, and Dalton Morrison. Two brothers: Dan (Jen) Morrison of North Pekin, Illinois and Rod Morrison of Mesa, Arizona. His mother: Dona Spurgeon of Abingdon, Illinois. His parents-in-law: Lester and Vil Smith of Galesburg, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and one sister, Connie.

He attended Community Bible Church. He loved to ride his motorcycle and tinkering in his garage building things. He enjoyed boating, fishing and playing baseball. Supporter of the Fallen Hero's.

He worked for the former OMC of Galesburg, Illinois, then the former Case IH on West Main Street in Galesburg, Illinois, then transferred to Galva, Illinois. He worked for the former Westbay Equipment, then spent his last twenty years working for Lincoln Mercury in Galesburg, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Jim Reynolds will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois. Fellowship will follow graveside services at the Abingdon Bowling Alley. Interment will be in the Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Family.
