|Charles F. Hines, age 84, of Galesburg, Illinois died on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 9:45 P.M. at his home in Galesburg, Illinois.
He was born on February 3, 1925 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Henry C. and Mildred L. "Ruth" Littler Hines.
He married Jeanne F. Gladfelter on July 5, 1947 in Galesburg, Illinois.
She survives of Galesburg, Illinois.

Cathleen L. (Tate) Chambers of Morton, Illinois.
Son: Charles F. Hines, Jr. of Naples, Florida
Six Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren

Sisters: Mildred Hines of Illinois
Caroline Maloney of Texas
Preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Marilyn Clancey.
He was raised and educated in Mason City, Iowa. He attended the University of Illinois for two years and received an accounting degree.
He served in the United States Army from June 25, 1943 until January 30, 1946. He received several medals including the World War II Victory Medal, Bronze Arrowhead, Distinguished Unit Badge and the Good Conduct Medal.
He and his wife owned and operated Midwest Builders in Galesburg, Illinois.
He sold and built Butler commercial buildings in Galesburg, Illinois.
He and his wife lived in Oak Run, Dahinda and Knoxville, Illinois before moving to Galesburg, Illinois.
He and his wife spent their winter months in Naples, Florida.
Cremation Rites will be accorded.
Private Family Services to be held at a later date in Naples, Florida.
