Sholl, Barbara Jean
Barbara Jean Sholl, age 72, of P O Box 84, Oquawka, Illinois died on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:44 A.M. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois after a courageous battle with a brain aneurysm.

She was born on October 5, 1937 in Roseville, Illinois, the daughter of Gustaf and Rebecca Romine Carlberg.

She married William Y. Gustafson in 1956 in Galesburg, Illinois.

She later married Richard W. Sholl in 1973 in Galesburg, Illinois.

Surviving are:

Sons: Bradley J. (Delinda) Gustafson of Dalton City, Illinois, Gregory W. Gustafson of Galesburg, Illinois

Daughters: Cathy J. (Harvey) Henry of Oquawka, Illinois, Melissa E. Scott of Oquawka, Illinois

Grandchildren: Heather and Ramsey Hunt of Oakland, Illinois, Heidi Gustafson of Champaign, Illinois, Daniel (Alicha) Gustafson of Bement, Illinois, Andrew Gustafson of Dalton City, Illinois, Shawn Gustafson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Natalie (Sam) Hubner of Dalton City, Illinois, Daniel (Danny) Valdez of East Galesburg, Illinois, Brandy J. Gustafson of Galesburg, Illinois, Chad G. Gustafson of Galesburg, Illinois, Kurt Scott of Media, Illinois

Sixteen great grandchildren

Brothers: Robert Carlberg of Keithsburg, Illinois, Donald Carlberg of California

Preceded by her parents; two brothers: William and Danny; two sisters: Virginia and Donna and one son: Todd A. Sholl

She was reared and educated in Roseville, Illinois graduating from Roseville High School.

She worked as a production supervisor at Protexall in Galesburg, Illinois for 20 years; then worked as a time study engineer at Lamont Ltd in Burlington, Iowa retiring after 25 years; and then worked as a bookkeeper for Fisher Foods in Oquawka, Illinois.

She was a former zoning officer in Oquawka, Illinois from 2004 until 2007.

She enjoyed boating, camping and motorcycle riding in her early years.

In her later years, she was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, cooking and crossword puzzles.

In honor of her request, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services.

Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice. Cards may be sent to the family at P O Box 84, Oquawka, Illinois.
