Barbara Jean Sholl, age 72, of P O Box 84, Oquawka, Illinois died on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:44 A.M. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois after a courageous battle with a brain aneurysm.
She was born on October 5, 1937 in Roseville, Illinois, the daughter of Gustaf and Rebecca Romine Carlberg.
She married William Y. Gustafson in 1956 in Galesburg, Illinois.
She later married Richard W. Sholl in 1973 in Galesburg, Illinois.

She was reared and educated in Roseville, Illinois graduating from Roseville High School.
She worked as a production supervisor at Protexall in Galesburg, Illinois for 20 years; then worked as a time study engineer at Lamont Ltd in Burlington, Iowa retiring after 25 years; and then worked as a bookkeeper for Fisher Foods in Oquawka, Illinois.
She was a former zoning officer in Oquawka, Illinois from 2004 until 2007.
She enjoyed boating, camping and motorcycle riding in her early years.
In her later years, she was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, cooking and crossword puzzles.
In honor of her request, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services.
