Yeager, Mack L.
Mr. Mack L. Yeager, 92, of 108 Lakeview Dr., East Galesburg, died at 6:15 PM Friday, October 30, 2009, at his home.

He was born August 31, 1917 in Beardstown, IL the son of Max and Grace Kaiser Yeager. He married Ruby James in Burlington, IA on April 16, 1938. She preceded him in death on February 18, 1990. He later married Helen Rouland in Galesburg, IL on March 30, 1991. She preceded him in death on December 8, 2008.

He is survived by one daughter Linda R. (William) Pascoe of East Galesburg; two step sons Darrell (Glenda) Rouland of Chelsea, AL and Gary (Judy) Rouland of Berea, KY; two step daughters Connie Jensen of Galesburg and Jan (Rich) Uddin of Monmouth, IL; six grandchildren, twelve step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren sixteen step great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wives, one daughter Marlene Swanson, two sisters, one grandson, one great granddaughter, one step son David Rouland, and one step son-in-law Lyman Jensen.

He served in the U.S. Cavalry from 1945-1946 and the U.S. Army stationed in Korea.

Mack worked for Victor Casket Hardware Company and WA Jordan for 28 years. He also worked for the Purington Brickyards for a year, Brown Specialty for 2 years, Midwest Manufacturing Company for 3 years and retired from OMC Gale Products as a supervisor after 15 years. He also worked part-time for Fidelity Federal for 13 years. He attended the First Church of God. He enjoyed softball, bowling and fishing.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. David Scholl will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Rescue Mission or the Charity of the Donors choice. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
