Mary Jane, "Jeanne" Anderson, 93, 1115 N. Farnham St., Galesburg, died at 1:32 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in Heartland Health Care Center.
She was born November 19, 1916 in Orion, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Ethel Marrow Parnell. She married Lawrence W. Anderson on September 30, 1933 in Oquawka, Ill. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2000.
She is survived by a son, James L. Anderson of Oconomowoc, Wis., two daughters, Betty Field of Galesburg and Roberta (and William) Sharp of Knoxville, Ill., 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, and a sister, Kathryn McKay of Kaukauna, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Jeanne was a homemaker. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1934. She was a member of East Main Congregational United Church of Christ.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to Harbor Light Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com. |
