|Gene Aden, 63, of Avon, IL, passed away on October 11, 2010, 11:28 am at Wyoming Medical Center, Casper Wyoming. He was born October 19, 1946 in Quincy, IL the son of Orval and Leota King Aden. He married Pat Cox on April 9, 1995.
He is survived by his wife; children Brad (Susann) Aden of Kirkwood, MO, Michelle (David) Roberts of Prairie City, IL, Dale (Jennifer) Schisler of Abingdon, IL, Marcia (Jimmy) DeJaynes of Albuquerque, NM, Melissa (Bernard) Duckwiler of St. Augustine, IL; 11 grandchildren; one sister Fritzi (Bob) Wood of West Point, IL and one brother Keith (Marilyn) Aden of Avon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gene was born and raised in Bowen, IL he graduated from Bowen High School. He came to Avon in 1965 and was a life long truck driver. In 1987 he and his wife Pat started their own trucking business Aden Trucking of Avon. He enjoyed helping his brother-in-law farming and working on his truck. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Golden, IL. He was also a member of the Avon Harmony Lodge NO. 253, and member of the Shrine Valley of Peoria Consistory.
Funeral service will be Saturday October 16, 2010, 11:00 am at the Checkrow Community Church. Family will receive friends Friday eve October 15, 2010 from 5:30-8:00 pm with a Masonic service at 5:00 pm at Corman Memorial Home Avon, IL. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery.
