|Robert Lee "Bob" Sholl, 70, of 480 E. Fifth St., Galesburg died 3:05 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at his home.
He was born October 4, 1942 in Galesburg, to Chester Edward and Evelyn K. Allen Sholl. He married Penny E. Arber November 21, 1964 in Kansas City, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving is a son Chris (and Marcia) Sholl of Kansas City, a daughter, Jennifer (and Buddy) Rayburn of Edwardsville, Ill., two brothers, Ivan (and Linda) Sholl of Bartonville, Ill. and Ronnie (and Tina) Garrard of Washington, Ill., two sisters, Janet (and Tom) Yeatts of Carbon Cliff, Ill. and Pat Roth of Peoria, Ill. and four grandsons, Steven Christensen, II, Sean Christensen, Brendan Rayburn and Blake Rayburn. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob was an inspector for the Ford Motor Company. He also was a hostler for Burlington Northern Rail Road. He retired in 2006. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1960. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kansas City. He was a Member of the Alpha Masonic Lodge and Shriners of Kansas City. He was also a former member of the Moose Lodge.
Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Salvation Army or Charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
