|Gerald Quinn, 78, of Roseville, died at 10:47 A.M. Thursday, November 26, 2009 at his home.
He was born Nov. 1, 1931 in Brown County, IL., the son of Raymond and Gladys (Coulter) Quinn. He was raised and educated in Brown County.
Gerald married Ramona Stambaugh in Mt. Sterling, IL on Feb. 15, 1951 and she died Dec. 30, 2007.
Gerald worked at Admiral Corp. in Galesburg for over 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, bowling and his many animals. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Gerald had a passion for taking old broken riding lawn mowers and bringing them back to life.
He was a member of the Countryside Bible Church.
Survivors include his 3 brothers, Raymond (Mildred) Quinn Jr. of Springfield, IL, George (Peggy) Quinn of Rushville, IL and Ronald (Donna) Quinn of Strafford, MO; several nieces and nephews; 2 sister-in-laws, Bea Foucault of Jefferson City, MO and Angela Ruble of Payson, IL; 1 brother-in-law, Michael Staumbaugh of Palm Harbor, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister and nephew.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Countryside Bible Church, Gerlaw with Rev. Ken Muck officiating. Burial will in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday at the Church where his family will be present from 12:30-1:30 PM. Memorials may be given to the Western Illinois Animal Rescue or the Countryside Bible Church.
