Wislander, Lela Arlene
In loving memory of Lela Arlene (Hampton) Wislander, 72 of Henderson, IL, who went to be with the Lord peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Sunday November 7, 2010, 8:20 pm.

She was born November 3, 1938 in Kewanee, IL the daughter of Wren C. and Lela Lucille Fawcett Hampton. She is survived by her husband Ed C. Wislander; daughters Debra S. Iaun, Lesa L. Young, and Brenda L. Wager; and sons Gregory L. Wislander, Larry J. Schwarz Jr., and Ken C. Wislander; 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Lela was born in Kewanee, IL and attended school at Orion and ROWVA. Mrs. Wislander worked at Heartland Parking in Peoria, IL and in the Chase Bank ticket booth for 22 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Avon, IL where her husband is the pastor. She enjoyed her beautiful flowers in her yard, listening to the Gaither Family sing Gospel music, and spending time with all her family and friends. Fudge and peanut M&Ms were her favorite sweets. The most important things in her life were the closeness of her family, helping anyone that needed help, and especially, living her life for Jesus and sharing her peace with everyone she touched.

Memorial service will be Thursday November 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Corman Memorial Home Avon, IL, pastor Ed C. Wislander will officiate. Family will receive friends from 12:30 until the hour of service. There is no burial and creation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Avon, IL.
