Fitch, Lillian M.
Lillian M. Fitch, age 72, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 1:53 A.M. on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois.

She was born on March 5, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Howard H. and Emeline Olson Peterson. She married Walter R. Fitch on August 1, 1959 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2003.

Surviving are one granddaughter, Bailey Fitch of Galesburg, Illinois; three grandsons, Robb Fitch of Galesburg, Illinois, Joe Fitch of Galesburg, Illinois and Jacob Fitch of Galesburg, Illinois; and the mother of her grandchildren, Cynthia (Ted) Kitchen of Galesburg, Illinois. Shr was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son: William R. "Bill" Fitch on June 8, 2008.

She was raised and educated in Williamsfield, Illinois graduating from Williamsfield High School in 1956. She then attended and graduated from Brown's Business College in Galesburg, Illinois. She was a homemaker and worked as secretary at the Raymond Marquith Elementary School for 28-1/2 years retiring in 2000. She was an active member of the First Church of the Open Bible in Galesburg, Illinois. She enjoyed her grandchildren very much and they called her "Marny".

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Mark Dexter officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Family. Graveside Memorial Services for Walter and Lillian Fitch will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM in Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg, Illinois.
